How much vegetable oil is there in the world?
According to the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) the total world consumption of major vegetable oils in 2007/2008 was 128 million tons. †
That's a lot of vegetable oil! And if all of it were used in the production of energy we could produce enough power to supply around 128,000,000 homes!
The waste from this oil usage could be of great benefit to creating an alternative and carbon neutral power source for the future.
By recycling your used cooking oil you will allow us to create environmentally friendly energy that will benefit us all.
